:butterflytwo:~entry for =firstfear's Mother Earth contest~:butterflytwo:

After my first doll I realized that I can't draw cartoonish people the way others draw them, but I can draw my own style of abstract looking people. This girl looks like most of my random doodles, so I was pleased with the way she came out. Limbs are bent, head is small, appendages are elongated, and I'm satisfied with that. :)
The background is supposed to be like clay or something with animals carved in it. There's a sea turtle, eagle, squirrel, snail, and a snake hidden in the top of the largest circle. The rocks/dirt clods the girl is holding represent the earth just as the clay does, and they spin counter clockwise to represent the earth's rotation. :diny:

Daily DeviationNot that often that you get a real natural savor out of pixel art creations. Mother Earth by *ctrl-alt-delete is the exception with its fascinating earthly demeanor. Additional animation adds some likeable spice to boot! (Featured by `halfliquid)

Awsome picture and movement :) I especially love the humming bird. very realistic...
Wow, it would be cool to see more of these people. Perhaps you'd be inspired enough to create one each for the other elements - wind, water and fire :aww:

Ehrm.. At 1 am my good comments are all asleep, so this'll do :blushes:

Wow! I love that. I don't think I've ever seen a pixel art quite like it before. (Which is a good thing lol.) Fabulous job. Wonderful animation also. ^^

Haveing a nice day are we?
-Ohh! Lookie the Dithering in meh Avy!
:omg: Mamma mia!!

The design is fantastic. The fresh shapes and the tropical setting makes the picture full of life and vitality. The variety of life forms, patterns and symbols is breathtaking.

The shading in this picture is one more demostration of your amazing skill with that grainy dithering. The choice of colors seems just perfect, especially the girl's skin.

If I wanted to be a cruel nitpicker, I would only say that I can't see why the left hand is in that position, and the animation is not smooth enough. But at this resolution, you can't really make a good animation. It's so hard to find flaws in this work anyway.

This picture has a well-deserved place in my favs. I already stared at it for half an hour.
This is beautiful...the scattered shading adds to the illusion of the "clay" effect. The abstract way you drew the girl is different from your generic anime girl, which makes it even more interesting. :D
